The Department of Psychology was established in 1990 with the foundation of the university. Where students are provided with theoretical and applied frameworks for psychological specializations (industrial, experimental, clinical, counseling, and scientific research), through multiple courses, and field training at the Counseling and Special Education Center at the university, in addition to governmental and private institutions and organizations. There are diverse career options available to psychology graduates, Past Al-Ahliyya Amman University students work in mental and general health settings, business and industry, education, media, marketing, and research. The Department of Psychology awards a Bachelors degree in Psychology. The department also awards a masters degree in clinical psychology.
